Where We Deliver · Bemidji

GRAVEL, DIRT, AND IRON FOR BEMIDJI.

Storlie Construction delivery area near Bemidji, MN

Bemidji sits at the headwaters stretch of the Mississippi, the first city the river runs through on its way north and east. It is also the biggest town on our delivery map, and between downtown lots, new subdivisions, and cabins ringing Lake Bemidji, we haul more material here than anywhere outside our own yard on Highway 2. Three generations of the Storlie family have kept those loads moving into town.

That range of work means we see a little bit of everything in Bemidji, and our crews are set up to handle whichever kind of job lands on the schedule.

Site Work For A Town That Keeps Building

Bemidji is not standing still. New homes are going up on the edges of town, older lots downtown get torn out and rebuilt, and lake places need driveways and septic systems put in right the first time. We handle building pad excavation, basement digs, grading for new construction, and lot clearing ahead of a build. On the lake side, that often means septic prep and driveway grade work sized for a cabin or a year-round home, not a subdivision. Every job gets graded so water moves away from the structure, not toward it.

Material For Every Corner Of Town

A subdivision going in on the edge of Bemidji needs Class 5 gravel (MnDOT Spec 3138) under every new driveway and road base, and we run tandem loads of roughly 15 tons straight to the site. Closer to the lake, where the water table sits higher, washed rock does the work in drain tile and foundation backfill. Downtown commercial work leans on sand for concrete mixes, and black dirt and screened topsoil finish off a yard once the heavy work is done. If your project calls for rip rap along the Lake Bemidji shoreline, we carry the class sized right for it, per MnDOT Spec 3601.

The Run Into Bemidji

From our pit at 31923 US Highway 2 in Cass Lake, MN 56633, it is an easy run west on Highway 2 straight into Bemidji. Once a truck is in town, reaching a subdivision off the highway, a downtown lot, or a shoreline road on Lake Bemidji is a short hop from there. Bemidji sits well inside our roughly 50-mile delivery radius, so scheduling is rarely the hard part. Getting the right material on the right truck is what we spend our time on.

Bemidji Questions We Hear Often

Do you deliver small loads, or only full truckloads? We deliver both. A patch job on a driveway might only need a partial load, while a new subdivision road needs several tandem loads back to back. Tell us the size of the job and we will size the delivery to match.

How much does a load of gravel cost delivered to Bemidji? Pricing depends on material, quantity, and where in town you are located. Call the pit at (218) 335-6249 for current delivered pricing on your job.

Does spring weight restriction season affect Bemidji deliveries? Yes. Minnesota's spring load restrictions, sometimes called frost laws, limit truck weights on certain roads for a few weeks each spring. If your project falls in that window, we will work with you on timing so the load still gets where it needs to go.
