Four products cover most Blackduck orders out of Storlie's regional pit operations: Class 5 gravel, Class 2 gravel, screened clay, and sewer rock, with rip rap on hand for shoreline and erosion-control applications. Class 2 is the fully crushed, premium surfacing gravel worth the upgrade on a rural road that takes a beating from logging trucks and heavy equipment, though Class 5 still handles the everyday driveway and yard work when a full subbase upgrade is not the job. Out on the wooded acreage around Blackduck, screened clay goes into pond bottoms, berm cores, and low ground that needs building up; results ride on the specific site and on proper compaction, never a sure thing straight out of the pit. This far from city sewer, septic systems are the norm, and sewer rock is what the drainfield calls for.

Rip-rap design, installation, and permitting are not represented as Storlie services. Confirm those requirements with the appropriate contractor, designer, and agency before placing the material order.

Storlie performs excavation, filling, grading, site preparation, brush and slash clearing, gravel road building and repair, and trucking. Building demolition can also include cleanup, disposal, filling, and site restoration.
